1. Registrieren Sie sich unter cloud.dataforest.net oder melden Sie sich einfach in Ihrem bestehenden Konto an, der Code gilt für Neu- und Bestandskunden gleichermaßen
2. Lösen Sie in Ihrem Konto den Code newsletter2026 ein
3. Sie erhalten Token im Wert von 25,00 €, die automatisch mit Ihren nächsten Monatsrechnungen verrechnet werden

Der Code kann bis zum 31.07.2026, 23:59 Uhr, ein Mal je Konto eingelöst werden und steht insgesamt 250 Mal zur Verfügung. Die erhaltenen Token sind ab Einlösung 90 Tage lang gültig.

Token sind eine zusätzliche Währung in der dataforest cloud, mit der Sie Ihre Seeds anteilig oder vollständig bezahlen können. Sie werden automatisch mit Ihrer nächsten Monatsrechnung verrechnet und reduzieren den zu zahlenden Betrag - reichen die Token, liegt die Rechnung bei 0 €. Auf bereits ausgestellte Rechnungen können Token allerdings nicht mehr angerechnet werden, sie wirken immer nur nach vorn.

In einigen Fällen bitten wir nach der Registrierung um eine einmalige Vorauszahlung, bevor das Konto freigeschaltet wird. Im Grunde ist das nichts anderes als eine erste Aufladung Ihres Guthabens: Der volle Betrag wird Ihnen als Token gutgeschrieben, automatisch mit Ihren nächsten Rechnungen verrechnet und bleibt zwei Jahre lang gültig. Es geht also kein Geld verloren. Alle Einzelheiten finden Sie in den FAQ.

It has been a long time since our last newsletter. Instead of many words about everything that has happened, you can take a look at the most important part right here:

On January 9, 2026, we launched the dataforest cloud, a self-service platform for virtual machines / cloud servers that we developed from scratch ourselves. We affectionately call our cloud servers Seeds:

• Deployment within seconds, no tickets, no waiting
• True hourly billing, no minimum contract terms or notice periods
• Manage snapshots and backups directly in the cloud
• And as always: we operate all systems ourselves, on our own space in high-security data centers in Frankfurt, connected via our own redundant backbone

Seeds start at € 3.95 per month (incl. 19% VAT) - billed by the hour. Since launch, we have been adding new features regularly. You can see what was released and when in the changelog.

As a small thank you for staying with us all these years, we are giving you a credit for the dataforest cloud. Here is how it works:

1. Sign up at cloud.dataforest.net - or simply log in to your existing account; the code is valid for new and existing customers alike
2. Redeem the code newsletter2026 in your account
3. You will receive token worth €25.00, which are automatically offset against your next monthly invoices

The code can be redeemed once per account until July 31, 2026, 23:59 (CEST), and is available 250 times in total. The token are valid for 90 days after redemption.

Token are an additional currency in the dataforest cloud that you can use to pay for your Seeds, in part or in full. They are automatically applied to your next monthly invoice and reduce the amount due - if your balance is sufficient, the invoice comes to €0. Good to know: token only apply to future invoices; they cannot be credited against invoices that have already been issued.

In some cases, we ask for a one-time prepayment after registration before the account is activated. In essence, this is simply a first top-up of your balance: the full amount is credited to you as tokens, automatically offset against your next invoices, and remains valid for two years. No money is lost. You can find all the details in the FAQ.
